A Proven Leader for Orange County

Judge Craig Brown has proudly served Orange County for nearly a decade as a County Court Judge, Acting Supreme Court Justice, and Acting Surrogate. His deep legal experience, common-sense approach, and dedication to justice have made him a trusted figure in the community. Over the course of his career, he has presided over 100 jury verdicts and authored over 40 published decisions.

In 2023, Judge Brown helped establish and now presides over the first Veterans Treatment Court in Orange County at the County Court level, providing critical support for veterans in need. His work reflects a commitment not only to the law but also to the people he serves.

Committed to Our Community

Judge Craig Brown’s influence extends beyond the courtroom. He has been a driving force in local education and youth programs, coordinating the N.Y.S. High School Mock Trial Program since 2017. He regularly meets with students through school visits, the Junior Leadership Orange Program, and court internships, helping the next generation understand the justice system and explore career opportunities.
